Known as Full Hybrid or Self-Charging Hybrid, a Hybrid vehicle generates electricity when braking or decelerating, and recycles it back into the battery. With no plug-in charging required, you can drive our hybrid like a regular petrol-powered car.

SELF-CHARGING MOTORING

The Mazda2 Hybrid has the ability to drive small distances in EV mode*, offering smooth and quiet running in urban environments. During normal driving, the petrol engine and electric motor work together for optimum performance and the best possible fuel efficiency. When decelerating, kinetic energy is converted to electrical energy and stored in the battery.
