About Magna Mazda

Magna Mazda was appointed as the main Mazda Dealer for West Bournemouth & Poole in 1983. Since then, we have developed long term relationships with many customers who always come back when purchasing a new or used Mazda. In the intervening years, Magna Mazda has grown from strength to strength with Mazda Dealers in Christchurch, Poole, Weymouth, Salisbury and Southampton.

Below is a timeline of our history and company growth:

1983
Magna Motor Co Ltd Mazda opens for business in Poole Rd, Branksome, Poole.

1991
Temporarily relocated to RL Stevenson Avenue, Westbourne, Bournemouth

1992
Re-location to completely refurbished current premises in Haven Rd, Canford Cliffs, Poole

1997
Magna increases its’ representation of Mazda, by acquiring Wey Valley Mazda (Weymouth), covering Dorchester, Weymouth & Bridport

1999
Magna Christchurch is added to the group, giving us sole responsibility for Dorset

2002
We spread into Wiltshire, with the purchase of Downton, to cover the Salisbury area

2006
Magna Southampton joins the group, with the purchase of the old Southampton Mazda location, meaning we now represent Mazda from Fareham in the East, along the coast to Bridport in the West, and as far North as Andover.

2011
Watch this space.......

Magna Group now sells over 1,000 new and 1,000 used Mazda vehicles every year, meaning that we account for over 2% of all the new Mazda’s sold in the UK. Our customers often become like friends and we have countless customers who haven’t just bought one, or perhaps two, cars from us, but up to 10 or more, as well as bringing their family to us as well!
